Chen's Family Dish: Savor Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Dallas

What a nice find ! Wife and I found some positive reviews and made the trip to Chens .... Wonderful lunch, good menu, good customer service and fresh fresh food. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Clean, comfortable family setting staffed by friendly owners and staff. Chefs created tasty family style dishes with fresh ingredients. Taste reflects excellent wok cooking skills. We had tangy mango beef, Braised tofu with chicken and fresh green beans, beef loh mein noodles, wonton with chil oil noodles and potstickers. All delicious. Good quality fried and steamed rice..Would not hesitate to return with friends, family and colleagues.

we ordered take out while visiting Dallas! yum! The egg foo young was so good! We didn't eat at the restaurant but when we picked up our order we knew it was going to be delish!

Visiting my son in Salem we always enjoy getting together and having a sit down meal with them and the girlfriends family. Chen's has the edge over the couple of places we have eaten in Salem. Every combination dish has been excellent and most importantly over the years their cooking has been consistently good. Enjoy.

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating and willing to try to please. Clean and seated quickly. Parking is ample but shared entrance with the Safeway made it very busy to get in and out. Very Americanized menu insofar as standard deep fried and sauced or a huge plate of veggies with chosen protein with sauce. Not saying anything wrong with the menu. Just saying it is what Americans have come to expect. Food was plenty, hot and very tasty.

Love this place. Great service. Always consistent good tasty food. Dinners come w hot tea, and soup. Can order low or no salt dishes. Food always piping hot! Waiters and waitresses are all good. Great at explaining dishes too! Will always return 10 star

While not authentic, this restaurant is extremely consistent, and the flavors are good if you go in expecting Americanized Chinese cuisine. The staff have been quite friendly in my interactions with them, and they aim to accommodate so that you leave happy. Well-run outfit!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. The word of mouth is it's a great family place. We went on a Friday around noon and was surprised that there were only a couple of other people in the place but then someone came in and picked up a $50 take out order so that looks to be a lot of their business. With the way things have been the last few years it seems like a smart pivot. They had some lunch specials which were more than filling and I ended up taking half of mine home as the portions were sizable. The place looks like an older style restaurant in the style of an older Dennys but I found that comforting. There were a few booths with the Naugahyde ripped from years of wear. It's definitely a place I'd come back to. I would probably get the food to go as that's what I normally do but I want to check this out in person. Friendly service and delicious food. I'll be back again.
